About I-HeAL

About 80 FAU faculty and staff came together in a retreat the summer of 2015 and discussed aging research at the university. The institute arose from that gathering after faculty identified core areas of strengths in age-related research throughout an individual’s lifetime from birth to death.

The retreat was organized after FAU President John Kelly identified health aging as a pillar of his Strategic Plan for the Race to Excellence 2015-2025.
